Many colour photos of the murals (or what remains of them) plus detailed plans etc. This copy comes with several extras; firstly, an 8pp A5 full colour booklet “Crowley’s Ghost” which was a pre-publication extract from the book, used to promote it. Also included is a DVD containing more photos, a guided video tour of the abbey plus pdfs of the Anger/Kinsey Picture Post articles. Finally, there is an A4 colour photo, which is a reproduction of one of Kenneth Anger’s photos of a painted door from the abbey. This photo was obtained from a leading member of the OTO some years back. A rare package. £145.00

This publication was produced especially for an event in London, which marked the 50th. anniversary of the death of Spare. Features many illus. including 20 original artworks and 10 photographs, many not seen before. A lot of material focuses on Spare’s contributions to animal welfare (the proceeds of this event all went to the R.S.P.C.A.). Also included are several essays, plus reproductions of obituaries, letters and other ephemera. £125.00

Firstly, the green card covers are lacking the book title but more significantly the d/w has been specially printed with the book title and the note “Proof copy for Ben Fernee” (owner of Caduceus Books). The book is signed and dedicated on the half title page “For Ben, best wishes Tony” (Tony Naylor). Foreword and introductory notes by Clive Harper. A rare collection of articles, memoirs and fiction by Blakeston, all relating to Spare. Also includes a number of colour reproductions. Extremely scarce. £195.00
